Friends of the School
The Friends of Ripon Cathedral School is a group of parents who get together to think of ways to raise money for extra equipment and resources and have some fun along the way.
We meet up once every half term (often in a pub!) to chat about ideas for events, activities and also what we would like to spend the money on. In the past we have funded fantastic projects, including the reading raffle, musical instruments, new play areas, audio and sports equipment, outdoor play apparatus and the Daily Mile all weather track. This year our big goal is to fund the Forest School initiative and some more computers.
If you think that you could help in any way, whether it’s attending meetings, coming up with new fundraising ideas or volunteering to help at events, we would love to hear from you. We’re also looking for anyone with skills they can share with us. Are you good at book-keeping, great at designing posters, or do you have a talent for face-painting? Just ask your child's class teacher how to get in touch with us, and they will point you in the direction of a Friend.
Spring Term 2019
We have several exciting events coming up, hard on the heels of our successful 'Red Nose Disco'. There is a Big Family and Friends Quiz on Thursday 4th April, and an egg decorating competition and Easter egg hunt in the last week of term. Please get involved to raise much needed funds for school, we're also sure you'll have a good time!
If everyone gave up just 30 minutes of their time to help the Friends, just think what we could achieve!
