Congratulations to the winning team, the Dragons, but a great time was had by all!
We had an amazing time learning Zulu dancing, playing the spoons, acting in a Shakespeare play and line dancing!
We are fortunate to enjoy Christian festivals at Ripon Cathedral as well as worship in our own chapel.
The children enjoy a wide range of activities, including skipping, karate and fencing workshops in our March 2018 Health and Wellbeing Week.
Thanks to the wonderful fundraising efforts of the Friends of RCS we now have a track all round our field so the children can participate in the Daily Mile initiative.
Thorp Perrow and Hackfall Woods were wonderful in the sunny weather and Year 2 went to the National Railway Museum.
The snowy weather caused some of our visits to be cancelled, but we still managed cold days at Castle Bolton and Murton Park!

Our out of school club started in September and the children are having lots of fun everyday!
The children enjoyed many visits including to a farm, being Romans for a day, to the wonderful Ripon museums and much much more!
Our visits started early in May with a Year 3 visit to Murton Park to experience the Stone Age.
We enjoyed dressing up as book characters and reading with our parents too.
Our KS2 classes all visit a place of worship this term. There are trips for the other year groups too.
Celebrations started with a beautiful Christingle Service in the Cathedral and continue all month.
Lots of lovely learning and other school events.
All our children have had some exciting trips this term.
All our Year 6 children visited London for three days.
All our Year 5 children spent 3 days on Holy Island.
All our KS2 classes had the opportunity to spend a day in one of North Yorkshire's outdoor education centres.
Our July 2016 Year 6 leavers led an amazing show supported by all year groups.
We hosted the real Paralympic Torch with a fantastic procession around school as well as workshops learning about the four Paralympic values, determination, courage, equality and inspiration.
A lovely occasion for our children to share their musical talents with parents and friends.

Throughout June the Year 5 pupils worked hard converting their 'fiver' capital into successful businesses. They held an Enterprise Day on 24th June.
In June we hosted our friends from Segovia.
In May 2016, some Year 6 pupils visited Segovia as part of the successful exchange programme with two primary schools and the university there.
We celebrated World Book Day on Friday 4th March. Children dressed as their favourite book characters and we invited parents in to school to share reading with the children. We held our annual book quiz in which the Sharks won the trophy.
