At Ripon Cathedral School, we are committed to providing a high quality Early Years education, which gives children a secure and confident start, and nurtures a lifelong love of learning. This journey starts for our children in Nursery where they are nurtured and cared for as individuals and are given the chance to grow and develop at their own pace.
We provide an attractive, challenging learning environment which offers high quality opportunities for the children to learn through play, both indoors and outdoors. We are delighted with our refurbished facilities which were completed in February 2019. There is easy access between the Nursery and Reception classrooms for our free flow periods every morning and afternoon when the children can choose from a wide range of learning activities. We also have a kitchen in Oscar's (our club room) which we often use for baking, or using the produce grown in our raised beds. We place great emphasis on learning through first-hand experiences and offer a wide range of imaginative activities. Children enjoy:
|creative construction;||welly walks;|
|water play;||planting seeds;|
|a first taste of Spanish;||hatching chicks;|
|baking;||and much more.|
all in our friendly and purpose-built Early Years classrooms.
We would love to welcome you into our school so you can see for yourself the stimulating and caring environment we offer.
