Welcome to Year 3 - there is so much to discover this year and we hope you will enjoy coming on that journey with us.  

Our main projects for the year answer the following questions:


When do you think it was a better time to be alive - Stone, Bronze or Iron Age?


What did the Romans do for us?


What makes the Earth rock? Volcanoes and earthquakes.

To support our understanding of our topics we have planned exciting learning beyond the classroom events which will enrich our learning and give our children the opportunity to develop their social skills. Our proposed events this year are:

Spelling list sent home weekly


Daily practice of number skills and telling the time

Times tables sheet sent home weekly, Times table Rockstars


In Year 3 children are encouraged to read every night when possible and record this in their reading diaries.
